20-year-old man arrested for drug trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon in Silves

A 20-year-old young man was arrested this Monday, 22 November, for drug trafficking and possession of prohibited weapons, in the municipality of Silves.

The arrest took place as part of an investigation into a theft "which had been going on for about four months," according to the GNR.

In total, 34 doses of cocaine, 22 of hashish, three mobile phones, a replica pistol, a machete and various material for weighing, cutting, packaging and packaging drugs were seized.

The suspect, with a criminal record of trafficking, was arrested and the facts reported to the Judicial Court of Loulé.
