Silves installs an intergenerational park in São Marcos da Serra

Park opened to the public this Friday, October 15th

The intergenerational park of São Marcos da Serra, in Silves, has already opened to the public this Friday, October 15th, and allows to serve the entire population, from the youngest to the oldest, thus fostering interaction between the various generations.

This park "is equipped with various equipment" such as a circle of arms, "which aims to improve mobility and range of joints in the upper limbs and strengthen the muscles of the shoulders" or an elevator (double, which will "strengthen and it will develop the muscles of the trunk and upper limbs (chest and back), improving cardiopulmonary capacity», explains the municipality of Silves.

The equipment also includes a scale that “will develop and strengthen the muscles of the legs and waist, specifically the quadriceps, calves, glutes and lower abdominal muscles” and cross-country skiing to “improve the mobility of the upper and lower limbs, the flexibility of the joints and allow the exercise of intersegmental coordination and balance”.
