Loulé and Quarteira swimming pools are the setting for a photography contest on water

This contest is also an opportunity for citizens to visit and use the Municipal Swimming Pools

The pools of Loulé and Quarteira are the setting for a photographic competition on water that will take place during the month of October. 

In this contest, the objective is for the participants to show, through the “eyes” of their lenses, the importance of this essential, but so limited asset: water.

“Water and Nature”, “Loving the Sea”, “Water and Human Activities”, “Water, Conservation and Sustainability” are the proposed categories.

The photographs presented in the competition will be evaluated by a jury, with the three best awarded according to criteria of originality, quality and framing of the theme.

In addition to these, a set of photographs will also be selected to be exhibited in a municipal space yet to be defined.

Whoever wins the contest will win a six-month free entry to the Municipal Swimming Pool Complex of Loulé and/or Quarteira, a ticket to the MED, two tickets to the Municipality's show of your choice and a Friend of Cineteatro Louletano card with the first annual fee .

The runner-up will receive a six-month free entry to the Municipal Swimming Pool Complex in Loulé and/or Quarteira, a ticket to the MED, a ticket to a show in the municipality of their choice and a Friend of Cineteatro Louletano card with the first annuity.

Finally, the 3rd place winner will receive free entry for six months in the Municipal Swimming Pool Complex in Loulé and/or Quarteira and a Cineteatro Louletano Friend Card with the first annual fee.

This contest is also an opportunity for citizens to visit and use the Municipal Swimming Pools of Quarteira, open from Monday to Saturday, and the Municipal Swimming Pool Complex of Loulé, whose reopening takes place precisely on the 1st of October.

This project is part of the priority action "Reuse of Municipal Swimming Pool Water" of the Municipal Plan for Climate Action of Loulé, whose main objective is to study the potential for using the volumes of water associated with the daily operation of municipal swimming pools and possible solutions for reuse of them for non-priority uses, , or in the vicinity of these facilities.
