Minister of Agriculture collects contributions in Faro for the future CAP

The Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, chaired by José Apolinário, will host this initiative

Maria do Céu Antunes, Minister of Agriculture, will participate this Saturday, 23 October, at 16 pm, in a session of consultation and sharing of contributions from the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (PAC) 00-2023, to be held at Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve, in Faro.

Each Member State was challenged to present a single strategic plan – with supporting measures – to achieve the specific EU objectives for the future Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

These plans will combine the CAP support instruments financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) – direct payments and sectoral interventions, and by the EAFRD – rural development interventions.

In line with the procedures set out in the proposed regulation, the different components of this strategic plan are subject to contributions through a broad consultation process, which includes economic and social partners as well as representative entities from the agricultural sector, the environment and civil society.

The Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, chaired by José Apolinário, will host this initiative, inviting, in a press release, the participation of the various associative and institutional entities in the region.
