University of Algarve reinforces vacancies for the new academic year

UAlg had already made available 1.500 vacancies for this year

The University of Algarve (UAlg) reinforces in about 250 places, in the courses with the greatest demand, for the National Competition for Access to Higher Education, following the high demand from students.

According to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, 1 students applied for the 63.878st phase of the National Access Competition (CNA) for the 2021-2022 academic year, representing an increase of 1.203 candidates compared to the same period of 2020 , when 62.675 students applied.

UAlg, which had already made available 1.500 places, now adds 250 to the courses with the greatest demand, “to respond to the high number of applications verified this year”, explains the university.

Thus, the University of Algarve offers 1.750 places for this academic year, 30 more than in 2020/21.

Last year, UAlg «reached the highest number of candidates placed in the 1st phase of the National Competition for Access to Higher Education in the last 20 years, with a growth of 29%, almost twice the national average (15%)» , highlights the educational establishment.

UAlg offers initial and postgraduate training courses, in its various training areas, offering 44 undergraduate courses and an integrated masters for the academic year 2021/22.

The fee will remain at 697 euros, which can be paid in ten monthly installments.
