José Gonçalves (PS) re-elected mayor of Aljezur, but Marreiros guarantees 2 councilors

Independent movement headed by a former president who had been elected by the PS took second place

Socialist José Gonçalves was reelected mayor of Aljezur, with 44,69% of the votes, but the independent movement Renascer, R, of Manuel Marreiros, won 41,82% and the remaining two seats in the council.

In fact, the two candidacies were separated by only 78 votes.

The PS was still the most voted for the Municipal Assembly, although without having guaranteed a majority, but, as the four parishes won, things should lean towards the socialists in AM.
