Hugo Pereira (PS) elected mayor of Lagos with an absolute majority

PSD and CDU elected one councilor each

The socialist Hugo Pereira was elected mayor of Lagos, with an absolute majority (53,47%). Although the mayor already performs these functions, it was the first time that he was directly elected, as he had assumed the leadership of the Municipality when Joaquina Matos left to run for deputy. 

In second place, with 12,9% and electing 1 councilor, was the PSD, followed by the CDU, with 9,1% and also obtaining 1 councilor.

Chega was the fourth most voted force in Lagos, having obtained 7,73%, closely followed by Lagos com Futuro Coalition (7,57%). The PAN obtained 3,21% and the residual CDS 0,92%.

The PS, by the way, won across the board in Lagos: it obtained 48,43% of the votes for the Municipal Assembly and won all four parishes in the municipality.
