The new illustrated map of Faro is presented this Tuesday, September 7th, at 17:30 pm, at Galeria Gama Rama, the date on which it marks City Day.
This is an Open Studios initiative Faro, with the support of the City Council.
«Taking into account that the Municipality of Faro annually receives thousands of tourists from various parts of the world, the idea arose to create a map aimed at publicizing the main tourist attractions in this municipality, but this time with a bolder approach», explain the organizers of this map.
That's how «this mix of tool and artistic piece emerged that bets on a creative and appealing image and content, providing tourist information, while telling stories about the city, indicating to visitors, through suggestive illustrations, the points of greatest interest existing heritage and cultural heritage in the county».
In order for this map to reach as many visitors as possible, an English version will also be presented. The map can be purchased exclusively at Galeria Gama Rama.
The Illustrated Map of Faro is an original creation of Open Studios Faro, with the support of the City Council of Faro, within the scope of the City Day celebrations and features illustrations by artist Sofia Morais and texts by researcher and storyteller Luís Correia Carmelo.
