Nautical Station of Faro launches new digital platform

The Nautical Station (EN) of Faro, as part of the World Tourism Day, which marks today, 27 September, launched its new digitalform payment.

The new website provides, in an intuitive and accessible way, generic information about Faro, its tourism offer and companies, "with emphasis on nautical", but also "in accommodation, restaurants, tourist entertainment, education, health and well-being, culture, sports and other activities and services in support of nautical", he explains. the Farense local authority.

The creation of this platform follows the recognition of Faro as a nautical destination, certified by Fórum Oceano.

The recognition “resulted from the application presented, which had its strengths in the Ria Formosa, in its activities and products, in the barrier islands, structures to support boating and the offer of leisure activities”, highlights the municipality.

The platform, financed by the GAL Pesca do Sotavento do Algarve, has the municipality of Faro as the coordinating entity, currently has around 50 partners, open to the adhesion of new ones, upon request.

With its launch, the EN of Faro intends to «give greater visibility to nautical activities in the county, developed throughout the year, seeking to contribute to the increase of tourists and visitors, as well as to increase the average length of stay of tourists», he concludes.

The Estação Náutica is a network of quality nautical tourist offer, organized from the integrated valorization of the nautical resources present in a territory, adding value and creating diversified and integrated experiences.
