ArQuente's Concertos ao Entardecer are back this September, with concerts by Luís Severo, Evaya and Junno, at Ilha da Culatra, Galeria Arco (Faro) and Sagres Fortress.
This year, the event, organized by Associação ArQuente, extends to Ilha da Culatra, where artists perform, at sunset, in Largo da Igreja, overlooking the Ria Formosa.
The concerts on that barrier island take place on Fridays at 19 pm. On Saturdays, at the same time, the stage becomes Galeria Arco, in Faro, and on Sundays, at 18 pm, the music heads to the Fortaleza de Sagres, through the support of the DiVaM program, of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
The first guest, from the September concerts, is Luís Severo, who performs on the 10th, 11th and 12th.
The artist, who accepted the invitation to perform solo, in a more intimate version, has published three albums since 2015, 'Cara D'Anjo', 'Luís Severo' and 'O Sol Voltou'. Severo is currently one of the most consensual names in songwriting of his generation.
The following weekend (September 17th, 18th and 19th) belongs to EVAYA, who will be accompanied by two musicians. In composing her themes, the young producer, composer and singer uses pop elements combined with electronic music, in a journey where she addresses themes such as nature, war, peace and hope.
The cycle ends with another young composer and performer, Junno. Marta Falcão's solo project presents itself to the Algarve public on the 24th, 25th and 26th of September.
The Lisbon artist released her first EP 'Middle' in 2020, but those who know her remember her participation in several concerts by musicians such as Golden Slumbers, Lotus Fever and Monday.
The number of places available to watch the concerts is reduced, due to the measures established by the General Directorate of Health for the control of Covid-19, and reservation is mandatory via email: [email protected]
The 10th edition of Concertos ao Entardecer has the support of the Municipal Council of Faro, of the Parish Union of Faro, of the Association of Residents of Ilha da Culatra and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, through the program DiVaM – Dissemination and Valorization of Monuments.
It also has several private partners: the Lemon Tree hostel, the Tertúlia Algarvia restaurant and the Falcão Marques Seguros insurance company.
