Safety “Check Point” checks children's transport conditions at Algarve Shopping

Initiative is promoted by the Association for the Promotion of Child Safety

The Association for the Promotion of Child Safety, in partnership with Michelin/Euromaster, will promote, on September 11, at Algarve Shopping, Guia, a Road Safety Check Point, between 11:00 and 18:00.

“While APSI verifies the conditions under which children are transported, providing the clarification and advice that families need, its partner analyzes various aspects of the vehicle that influence the safety of everyone”, adds the association.

The initiative, which is free, explains APSI, is “aimed at giving families the possibility to make sure they travel and transport the youngest (and not only!) safely.

According to the last Observation Study that APSI carried out, almost half of the families transport their children in the car incorrectly.

“Although 90% use a car seat, in 45% of cases it is not correct or is poorly installed, which drastically reduces its effectiveness if an accident occurs”, highlights the association.
