The application of the Left Block (BE) “Better Quality and More Dignity for Portimão!”, which has João Vasconcelos as head of the list for the City Council, will continue with its campaign actions for Local Elections, having scheduled visits and meetings for today, tomorrow and after, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of September, also favoring contacts with the population and door-to-door actions.
This Sunday, September 19, BE's applications for Portimão and Lagoa joined in an action that culminated in the ascent of the Arade river, by boat, from the Marina de Portimão to Fontes de Estômbar.
This action aimed to «see the importance of the Arade river for the two municipalities, in particular with regard to the requalification of the port of Portimão with economic, social and also environmental sustainability, and with the need to desilt this watercourse, with respect for environmental values”, explains the BE in a note sent to the editorial staff.
As for the next actions, this Tuesday, September 21, at 11:30 am, next to Lota de Alvor, a boat visit took place in defense of the estuary, due to its classification as a Protected Landscape Area and against real estate projects for the destruction of the Quinta da Rocha.
Tomorrow, the 22nd, at 21 pm, there will be a meeting with the direction of the Firefighters Volunteers of Portimão.
On the following day, September 23, at 10:00 am, BE Portimão candidates will meet with the provider of Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Portimão and, later, at 18:00, an action will take place in Mata da Rocha against the project property of Foz do Arade and its replacement by a large Green Park.
