The campaign “Município Presente – Vale Educação” will start at the beginning of the school year with the offer of a voucher to 7 students in the municipality of Albufeira, announced this Wednesday, 375 September, the municipality of Albufeira.
The vouchers will be offered "to all children and young people in the municipality who are attending school, at the level of kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd cycles and secondary", the municipality begins by saying in a press release .
Each student will receive “a voucher in the unit value of 40 euros, which must be collected at the meeting of Parents and Guardians at the respective school or educational establishment the student is attending”.
The voucher can be later redeemed in the adhering local commerce establishments as a form of total or partial payment, in purchases equal to or greater than 40 euros, until December 14th.
The decision was unanimously approved at the session held on 17 August of the Albufeira Chamber, within the scope of a collaboration protocol with ACRAL – Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve.
This is not the first time that the municipality of Albufeira, together with ACRAL, has developed this type of initiative under the generic name “Município Presente”.
This support is aimed at «supporting and boosting the local economy at a time of great difficulties for companies, following the economic and social effects caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, attracting more customers and promoting the circular economy in the municipality».
The participation of commercial establishments in the “Municipality Present – Vale Educação” campaign is free, and interested parties must register by filling in an form.
All commercial and service establishments located in the municipality of Albufeira can join the initiative, with some exceptions such as establishments located in large commercial areas or shopping centers, unless they have a tax domicile in the municipality, medium and large food distribution establishments , restaurants, hotels and local accommodation and real estate and other similar such as construction and condominium management companies.
