The “Summer in Tavira” 2021 will host The Black Mamba, Portugal's representative at the Eurovision 2021 Festival, in Holland, which will take the stage this Saturday, August 28, at 22 pm, at Parque do Palácio da Galeria (Tavira) , in a show already sold out.
The band reached 12th place in the grand final and received raves from all over the world, including from artists such as Skin (vocalist for Skunk Anansie) and publications such as the New York Times.
May 2009 marks the beginning of the history of this group that travels through the universe of blues, drunk e funk and that it immediately deserved the support and recognition of the public.
In 2014, the band starts producing the original album “Dirty Little Brother”, with the collaboration of names such as Aurea, António Zambujo, Silk (Cais Sodré Funk Connection) and Orlanda Guilande.
In 2018 they release the third album of originals “The Black Mamba King” and, the following year, they return to their origins to celebrate their 10-year career with the beginning of the “Good Times Tour”, which ended in February 2020, days before since the beginning of the pandemic reached Portugal.
The year 2021 is marked in the band's history by participating in the Eurovision Festival with the song written by Tatanka “Love is on my side”.
