The public presentation of the PS lists to the local authorities of Lagos takes place this Friday, August 13, at Parque da Cidade. The event will be attended by José Luís Carneiro, assistant secretary general of the PS, and Luís Graça, president of the Regional Federation of the party in the Algarve.
The Socialist Party, which since 2001 has been trusted by the Lacobrigenses to conduct municipal destinies, presents itself in these elections for the Municipal Council with a list led by Hugo Pereira, acting president since 2019, and for the Municipal Assembly by Maria Joaquina Matos, former president of the municipality and current deputy.
With regard to the four parish councils in the municipality, there will be no change in the faces that currently lead them: Carlos Saúde (São Gonçalo), Carlos Fonseca (Odiáxere), João Reis (Luz) and Duarte Rio (Bensafrim and Barão de São João ) are chosen by the local structure of the Socialist Party, with a view to continuing the ongoing political projects.
In addition to the heads of the list, the three representatives of this municipal project will also be presented: the doctor Luís Afonso (mandate of the candidacy), the athlete Diogo Marreiros (mandate for youth) and the former president of the Parish Council of Luz, Manuel Borba (senior representative).
