The PS of São Brás de Alportel, which is looking for the re-election of Vítor Guerreiro as president of the Chamber in the Local Elections of 26 September, presented, last Thursday, 26 August, in Largo de São Sebastião, the lists of candidates for the City Council, Municipal Assembly and Parish Assembly.
The representatives and the Honor Committee were also presented, in a team of almost 100 people, from «different generations and professional experiences, who represent this municipal project, which belongs to everyone and to all São Brasenses», says the application.
In Largo de São Sebastião, according to the PS, 150 people gathered, who expressed “their support and reiterating their confidence in this team to continue this path and vision of the future, always based on respect for the past”.
In the presentation, Vítor Guerreiro «assumed the commitment to continue to lead the county's destinations, in an application that aims to continue this municipal project, providing a sustained and sustainable growth of São Brás de Alportel in favor of a better quality of life for everyone».
Luís Graça, president of the PS Algarve Federation, one of the guests at the presentation, considered that «if there is a mayor who is a witness of love and abnegation to his Land, it is Vítor Guerreiro».
If Vítor Guerreiro continues to head the list for the Municipal Council, João Rosa is once again the socialist candidate for the Parish Council and Ulisses Brito for the Municipal Assembly.
José Luís Carneiro, Deputy General Secretary of the Socialist Party, was one of the party leaders to be present at the event and recalled the moment when he met Vítor Guerreiro, at the Committee of the Regions.
"I could find in him someone who was always interested in knowing how he could contribute to the development of his region, his land and his municipality, trying to find economic value that would constitute a source of living conditions, attracting the youngest and newest investors", he praised .
It was up to Vítor Guerreiro to end the speeches by recalling that, over the last few terms of office, "we have given countless proofs of resilience, solidarity and a high spirit of citizenship."
The candidate reinforced that «in recent years, a series of actions and investments have been carried out to raise São Brás de Alportel to a level of excellence in several areas, and today it is an attractive municipality to visit, invest and live».
Proof of this, says Vítor Guerreiro, is the data provided by the 2021 Census, which indicate that the municipality's population has grown 5,7% in the last 10 years, contrary to the national trend.
