The book “Lenocínio VS Prostitução – a Vision of Magistrates and Police”, by João Carlos Ribeiro da Cruz, will be presented on August 17, at 19 pm, at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, in Albufeira.
«The book we present here is a very useful working tool for all professionals who are dedicated to the study and combat of the crime of pimping, as well as for all those interested in this topic», explains José Manuel Fonseca, magistrate of the Public Ministry and responsible for the preface of the work.
With this book, the author intends "to trace the social reality that involves the illegality of pimping and to present the forms that this criminality can take, how and by whom it is investigated and which cases led to the conviction or acquittal of the defendants". says the municipality of Albufeira in a note sent to the newsrooms.
"Despite being limited to the reality of the region of Aveiro, it is a sample of the situation at a national level, as this region has a city aspect, a rural one and an industrial one, it can be said that it is a showcase of the national reality." says José Manuel Fonseca.
