Lagos returns to music at Cais das Descobertas in September

The event has the Bezaranha seal

Jazzie Trio, Almatrix and Marta Alves with Nuno Feist and Guilherme Banza will give concerts on the stage of Cais das Descobertas, in Lagos, from 3rd to 5th September, always at 21 pm, as part of “Lagos Nights Out – Nights at Cais”, an event with the label of beagre, the network cultural programming project in the Algarve.

After a "successful" 1st edition in September 2020, Câmara de Lagos is once again investing in the event, in which local artists "will be the protagonists of free concerts in a safe and relaxed environment", according to the municipality.

Although tickets are free, they must be collected at the reception of the Centro Cultural de Lagos.

On the 3rd of September, the “Jazzie Trio”, a group composed of the musicians Pedro Glória (drummer), Paulo Ribeiro (pianist/accordionist) and Pedro Guerreiro (bassist/double bassist), take to the stage, «in a concert with various musical influences that pass through tango, new tango, fado, original electronic and acoustic music».

The next day, the artist from Lacobrigense Marta Alves, who celebrates 10 years of her career, invites Nuno Feist and Guilherme Banza to «a performance of Portuguese music in which fado could not fail to be present, as well as successful performances in several musical areas'.

The Almatriz group will close the event's program, on the 5th, «in a remarkable concert, where their musicality shows the influences of Portuguese contemporary popular music, music from the Portuguese-speaking world, classical music and fado, but presenting a new perspective and concept of sound», describes the City of Lagos.

This initiative is part of the project “Bezaranha – There are winds that come for good!”, a network cultural programming project promoted by AMAL in partnership with the sixteen municipalities of the Algarve region and the Regional Directorate of Culture.

In Lagos, the project “Guided visits by urban art” (until 25 September), in partnership with LAC – Creative Activities Laboratory, and the Music Cycle at the Altar (October).
