“I'm from Oland and, looking around me, I thought my city needed a superhero to help people in this time of the Covid-19 pandemic. That's why I decided to put on the mask», begins by saying Spider-Man from Olhão, in an interview with Sul Informação.

He decided to wear the suit, put on the mask and go out into the street to cheer up children and adults.

«Minutes before leaving home, I go to my Facebook page, "Spider-Man of Olhão", and I'll let you know where I'll be and at what time,” he explains.

When it appears on the streets of Olhão, there are many children and young people who ask to take a picture to later remember the sighting of the Super hero.

Maria is five years old and, when she saw Spider-Man from Olhão saying goodbye to her, from a distance, she immediately asked her father to take a picture with him.

But it's not just Portuguese children and young people who are interested in a photo with the Spider-Man from Olhão. There are also many foreigners who take the machines and photograph the Super hero.

Juan Carlos, a young Spaniard on vacation in Olhão, as soon as he saw Spider-Man, told his friends that they had to take a picture.

“We asked to take a picture with him to later remember that we saw Spider-Man in Olhão”, exclaims the young man, noting that “I was very happy to see one of my favorite superheroes during the holidays”.

In addition to the kids, there are also several adults who take their cell phones out of their pockets and ask to take a Selfie with Peter Parker from Oland. This is the case of Sílvio Santos, owner of a sports bar in the center of the city of Olhão.

“On the days I'm here, I always see him. Today I even asked him to land for a photo next to my establishment in order to promote it. It is being the attraction of the moment in the city».

Photographs taken with the Super hero Oyenne are free, but donations can be made to help you: “I don't force anyone to pay. I can take pictures with whoever I want and these people give what they can», clarifies Spider-Man from Olhão.

The money from donations and from the photographs taken, an advice given by a follower of the Facebook page, will be used "to buy a new suit", since "this is already very popular, and I thought about buying a new one".

The most memorable moment so far, since wearing the suit, was “when I passed a playground in downtown Olhão and the children ran to see me, hug me and take pictures. That moment was magical and rewarding», stresses the Super hero.

At the end of the day, when he comes home and takes off his suit, the feeling of happiness fills him. «I arrive and ask myself: did my work make everyone happy during the day? If so, that's what interests me», concludes Spider-Man from Olhão.

As for being this one and not another Super hero, the reason is simple: «Spider-Man is a more human, more down-to-earth superhero, and a character in which I see myself».

«In the beginning, he was poor, had problems with his family, money, lovers. It's a character very similar to me».

As for the identity and history of the man behind the mask, Spider-Man from Olhão clarifies that "it is secret" and does not reveal to anyone, not even the Sul Informação...
