The games of competitions organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) may occupy 33% of the sports venues, given the evolution of the pandemic, according to a technical opinion from the General Directorate of Health (DGS) to which Lusa had access.

This means that competitions such as the Portuguese Cup, Liga 3 and Campeonato de Portugal will be able to have audiences in the stands, as well as national team matches and futsal championships.

The DGS considered that the pilot tests promoted by the FPF were positive and that the evolution of the level of vaccination in Portugal allows the opening of stadiums to supporters, albeit in a limited number.

The technical opinion determines the health and safety recommendations that must be respected and defines the conditions for the presence of the public.

The permanent use of a protective mask is mandatory and physical distance must be maintained.

In games where the attendance is greater than a thousand people in an open environment or 500 in a closed environment, it is required that the COVID-19 Digital Certificate or a negative result in a SARS-CoV-2 test (molecular test of nucleic acid amplification [eg, PCR] performed within 72 hours before play or rapid antigen test within 48 hours before play).

The public will be able to occupy 33% of the capacity of the sports venues, and the first two rows of the stands must not have spectators. All seats must be seated, separated by two free chairs, mismatched in each row and properly identified.

Inputs and outputs must have their own separate circuits, avoiding contact and crossing between people.

Each stadium must have an Activity and Contingency Plan for the games.
