Ten young people from Castro Marim, abdicating their summer vacation, picked up garbage carts and, in addition to cleaning the surroundings, berms and public spaces in Castro Marim, they also organized several awareness-raising actions about the importance of recycling, as well as developed environmental education activities on the municipality's beaches.
This initiative, which involved young people between 16 and 25 years of age, also intended to alert, value and dignify the work of the cleaning workers.
For next year, there is a promise that Castro Marim will once again have, during the summer months, more “Young People for the Environment”.
