The Chamber of Castro Marim will offer token books (Portuguese, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and English) to all 1st cycle students who attend the Schools Group in this village. In total, more than 250 students will be covered by this initiative.
According to the municipality, "this measure complements the offer of school manuals by the Government", in order to alleviate "the high financial burden that the beginning of the school year represents for those responsible for education" and to "combat social exclusion and promote social equal opportunities in school access”.
The Chamber will then disclose the period for handing over the card books, warning that, "since this support is already guaranteed, there will be no room for reimbursement for those responsible for education who choose to buy them".
They will also advance the attribution of scholarships (applications from the 1st to the 30th of September) to students from disadvantaged households residing in the municipality of Castro Marim, enrolled and enrolled in secondary and higher education establishments, as well as the financing of meals at all students in grades A and B of the 1st Cycle, as well as economic assistance for the purchase of school material from the 1st to the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education (to obtain this support, the guardians must present, in the social action service, a supporting document registration and step).
Since August 1st, in the Social Action service, it will be possible to enroll in the Family Support Component for children attending pre-school education (to obtain this support, guardians must present proof of enrollment and grade. ).
Until August 31, meals will be provided to students benefiting from the Social School Action (grades A and B).

With regard to School Passes, the Municipality of Castro Marim guarantees that the title is free of charge to all students who use EVA Transportes transport services, from the 5th year of schooling onwards.
To do so, they must go to the Municipal Library of Castro Marim and renew or issue the pass. The form is available at www.cm-castromarim.pt and must also present the student's citizen card.
