Blaya closes “Summer Concerts” in Lagos

The “Summer Concerts” in Lagos will end this Sunday, August 29, with a show by the artist Blaya taking place at 21 pm, at the Parque de Feiras de Lagos (in front of the Municipal Stadium), in a safe cultural initiative that has just begun in July. 

The show by the artist Blaya will be a symbolic way of marking the “Bath Party” that used to take place on August 29 and which this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was suspended by the municipality.

The show will take place outdoors, at the Parque de Feiras de Lagos, with a capacity limited to 500 seats with proper physical distance, and the use of a mask is mandatory.

Blaya, artistic name of Karla Rodrigues, is a Portuguese singer, songwriter and dancer. His musical career included Buraka Som Sistema (2008-2016) and participation in several national and international festivals. His success continues to set the tone in the music world with the various Singles launched and electrifying shows.

Tickets cost €5 and can be purchased at the reception of the Centro Cultural de Lagos or through Ticketline. This initiative will follow a rigorous contingency plan in accordance with the guidelines of the General Directorate of Health.

Under the motto “Culture is safe”, the “Summer Concerts” began on the 16th of July with the show “Sim Ópera!” by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul. Warrior who "fascinated hundreds of people who were in the precinct specially prepared to think about the safety of the spectators", says the municipality of Lagos in a note sent to the newsrooms.
