In a phase in which advances in deconfinement are expected, Timing has 180 vacancies unfilled in the Hotel and Construction area, in the Algarve.
Eva Quitério, coordinator of Human Resources for the Algarve and Madeira, assures that «the number of vacancies available will still increase».
The Algarve region has been one of the most affected, in which, in the first quarter of the year alone, the unemployment rate was higher than the national average, having registered 10,2% (+2,7% compared to the same quarter of 2020 ).
However, in May it stabilized at 7% and in June it dropped by a tenth, to 6,9%, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
“The prospects are positive, together with a continuous vaccination of the population”, says the human resources company in a note sent to the newsrooms.
For this peak of summer high season, Timing is looking for nearly two hundred workers from the Eastern Algarve to the Western Algarve to start positions in renowned hotels and construction companies. In some locations, free transport is available.
With immediate entry and several hours available, part of the contracts are for long-term contracts. However, vacancies are also open for part-time regimes and for taking time off.
