I Algarve Psychology Days want to value work done in the region

This initiative will be promoted by the Southern Regional Delegation of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP)

The I Algarve Psychology Journeys take place on the 9th of July and want to «not only give notoriety to the excellent psychological intervention carried out» in the region, «but also enhance the quality of interventions in the field».

This initiative will be promoted by the Southern Regional Delegation of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP).

Divided into two panels where health and well-being will be debated on the one hand, and inclusion, education and equity on the other, these journeys aim to show that psychology improves the lives of many people.

«Psychologists have a lot to offer for the benefit of economic and social progress, as well as for the prevention and development of people, contributing to the resolution of challenges and complex social problems», says the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses.

Held in online format, the I Jornadas da Psicologia no Algarve foresee an exhibition of psychological intervention practices and science applied to practice. They also include the awarding of the District Good Practices award, which aims to promote the notoriety of psychological intervention and enhance the work developed in the Algarve by psychologists, highlighting their contributions to the response to societal challenges and/or in emerging areas of Psychology.

The Southern Regional Delegation is one of the five Regional Delegations of the Portuguese Psychologists Association and represents around 11 thousand professionals.
