Odeceixe Surf School trained coaches for surf grade 1, during the months of May and June, in Aljezur.
This was a training certified by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ).
The objective of this course is to give «more quality, safety and prestige to surf education in the region», continuing the need identified by several schools in the Algarve and Alentejo to monitor the development of the sport, «namely in its sporting component/ tourist with specialized training», says the Odeceixe Surf School.
“In general terms, there was a huge willingness, availability and dedication from those who attended the course”, says Sandro Maximiliano, training director.
This course for surf coaches comes after several years without this type of certified training in Aljezur.
The Odeceixe Surf School has the support of Universidade Lusófona and the municipality of Aljezur.
