DiVaM takes “Accordion, Bassoon and Dancers” to Milreu

Tickets to the show are free but subject to mandatory seat reservation.

This Saturday, July 10th, at 19 pm, the Roman Ruins of Milreu will host the show “Acordeão, Basgote e Bailarinos”, a project of the Algarve Accordion Association, within the scope of DiVaM – Dynamization and Valorization of Monuments in the Algarve.

“Accordion, Bassoon and Dancers” «is an eclectic project that seeks peculiar sounds, where the fusion between the accordion, with traditional roots, the bassoon (classical music) and the movement of the dancers will provide a very particular artistic ambience», explains the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.

The show has Gonçalo Pescada on accordion, Eduardo Sirtori on bassoon and the special participation of dancers Fábio Henriques and Rita Ramires.

The show's repertoire includes pieces from the Baroque period (Bach and Hendel) to the contemporary, where a distinction will be made between the “viejo” and the “nuevo” tango and with passages in Portuguese music (with José Afonso and Ferrer Trindade ).

Admissions to the show are free, but are subject to mandatory reservation of a place, in writing, by e-mail [email protected]. The mobile phone contact is 919 518 292.

The 8th edition of this cultural program by the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve has the theme “Heritage, Community and Inclusion”.

The program is available at www.cultalg.pt.
