Covid-19: Termas and SPA in high and very high risk councils may open

Determined the Minister of Economy through an order

The spas and SPAs can reopen in high and very high risk municipalities, for clients who present a digital certificate or negative test to Covid-19, according to an order by the Minister of Economy.

The order, signed by Pedro Siza Vieira, published on Friday, allows the reopening of the spa and SPA in municipalities with a high and very high risk of incidence of covid-19 since last weekend, after its closure following the exceptional measures to combat Covid-19.

According to the diploma, the spas, SPAs and similar establishments can operate in these municipalities as long as they comply with the rules defined for these activities by the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

Among these rules are guidelines "concerning legal and regulatory procedures for inspection, cleaning and sanitary surveillance of facilities and equipment, prevention and control of infection, consultations and thermal techniques, circuits of people and goods, communication and action in suspected cases" , is highlighted.

Access to these establishments is “only allowed” to customers who present a digital certificate or a negative test to Covid-19.

The accepted tests are PCR tests performed within 72 hours prior to submission, a rapid antigen test verified by a certified entity within the previous 48 hours, a rapid antigen test in the self-test modality within the previous 24 hours, provided it is performed in the presence of a health professional or pharmacist who certifies that the test has been carried out and the result, or through a self-test carried out at the door and under the supervision of those responsible for the establishment.
