Action took place this Saturday, 24th of July

The Teia D'Impulsos Association, with the support of Delta Cafés and the municipality of Lagoa, organized a new coastal cleaning action, which took place this Saturday, July 24, at Praia da Angrinha, in Ferragudo. This initiative, called Arade Azul, had the participation of 35 people who collected a total of 500 kilos of garbage at the site.

A The action took place between 9:00 and 12:00, but "soon other interested parties joined, namely families with children who wanted to set an example and convey to the youngest the importance of not leaving garbage on the beaches and taking care of our planet." says the Teia D'Impulsos Association.

The participants, divided into pairs, walked the sand and surrounding areas of Praia da Angrinha, near the Castle of São João de Arade, and proceeded to collect and separate waste, including cigarette butts, plastics, glass bottles and fishing equipment .

At the end of the activity, the organization confirmed that the separation of waste was well done, so that it could be recycled later in the appropriate recycling bins.

The event was visited by Anabela Rocha, vice president of the Lagoa City Council, and José Vieira, from the municipality's Environment division.
