Rede Expressos reactivates connections between Portugal and Spain

At least two daily frequencies will be carried out on the various Iberian corridors operated by the two companies

Rede Expressos and the Spanish carrier Alsa decided to reactivate road passenger transport services between Portugal and Spain, given the lifting of traffic restrictions and the approaching summer season.

Among the main destinations, the reactivation of routes involving the airports of Faro and Humberto Delgado in Lisbon, to the AVE station in Seville; services between Humberto Delgado airport, in Lisbon, and Barajas airport, in Madrid; and the connections from Lisbon and Porto towards A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, in Spain.

As a result of the partnership between Rede Expressos and Alsa, at least two daily flights will be made on the various Iberian corridors operated by the two companies, with a joint offer of 2.200 weekly seats between Portugal and Spain.

Rede Expressos guarantees that those journeys “will be carried out in state-of-the-art buses, with individual entertainment screens on the back of each seat, free wifi on board, as well as charging connections for mobile devices.

Both Rede Expressos and Alsa “introduced very strict protocols to deal with the dangers of contagion from COVID-19, providing hygienic and sanitary conditions for all passengers and driver, in order to make the bus where they travel safe”.

Thus, we highlight the enhanced cleaning and disinfection of vehicles, the introduction of the latest generation of bioactive carbon filters that eliminate 99% of particles; indoor air purifiers; in addition to making available hydroalcoholic gel to passengers. Along the entire route, the use of a mask is mandatory.
