The show “Primeira Layer”, which represents the culmination of a training project developed over the 2020/2021 school year, is shown this Sunday, June 27, from 19:30 pm, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.
«First Layer is the spectacle that represents the culmination of the training work developed throughout the 2020/2021 school year by teachers and choreographers Carolina Cantinho, Margot de Andrade and Maria Dias, from CAMADA – Centro Choreográfica, in Faro», says the organization.
Divided into two moments, this show begins with children and young people from regular and pre-professional training and ends with the Criatura project.
In the first part, the objective is to provide students with the opportunity to experience the stage and publicly present the technical and artistic skills acquired in the disciplines of classical, contemporary and urban dance.
The show's choreographies are guided by striking works by various plastic artists, such as Van Gogh, Miró or Banksy.
In the second part, the Criatura project will present the creation Midnight, a co-creation of the three choreographers with students from dance schools in the municipalities of Faro, Olhão and Loulé.
This project is an annual program that aims to give dance students the opportunity to work within a context of creation, close to the professional world.
Tickets for this show can be purchased here and cost 10 euros (general public) and 5 euros for children under 12 years old.
