Mákina de Cena joins a jazz trio for a Saturday morning concert in Loulé

Concert will be held in the cloisters of the Convento do Espírito Santo, near the Municipal Market, from 11:30 am

A jazz trio, composed by Marcelo Araújo, António Mesa and Zé Eduardo, will liven up this Saturday morning, June 5th, the city of Loulé, with a concert in the cloisters of the Convento do Espírito Santo, starting at 11:30 am.

Marco Martins, artistic director of Mákina de Cena Jazz and programmer of Mákina de Cena Jazz Club, emphasizes “the festive side of jazz, which is substantiated when there is a meeting, a meeting”.

«And nothing better, in June, in the Algarve, than having a jazz trio next to the municipal market, as has been happening for many years in other European cities», he adds.

Marcelo Araújo (drums) presents, in this concert, with various rhythmic and polyrhythmic resources in his approach to drums.

He is joined by one of the big names in contemporary saxophone, the Spaniard António Mesa, who has lived in New York for a few years.

On the double bass will be the composer and educator Zé Eduardo.
