In Loco launches “+Algarve” project to support the re-launch of the Algarve's economy

Project is based on the Mediterranean Diet

The In Loco association is accepting applications from companies interested in obtaining support from the “+Algarve: A Mediterranean lifestyle” project, which aims to relaunch the economy in the post-pandemic period.

This project, which will be financed by the CRESC Algarve 2020 Operational Program, has 366 thousand euros to invest «in preparation for the economic recovery of the region in the post-Covid period, enabling and supporting municipalities and their economic operators to structure a robust offer as well. organized, dynamic, capable of generating national and international tourist attraction during the low season», according to In Loco.

The idea is that this support will contribute «to strengthen the region's position as a quality destination, all year round, based on the Mediterranean cultural identity and an innovative set of identity products and services, linking the coastal and inland territories» .

The proposed action plan results from the priorities that the members of the Mediterranean Diet Route (RDM), public and private, identified as priorities, in a survey carried out before their candidacy, highlighting promotion (territorial marketing) as the most important, as well as the technical support for the development of new complex tourist products, adapted to the most recent challenges in national and international demand and supported by endogenous resources», framed the Algarve local development association.

«That was the bet of this territorial marketing strategy and strengthening the capacity of all partners to build a unique, diversified tourist destination supported by the best of the coast, the barrocal, the mountains, the windward and the leeward have to offer,” he added.

«Development of a cycle of Fairs/Feasts, traveling through all participating Algarve municipalities, capitalizing on the experience of the Mediterranean Diet Fair, in order to promote each municipality and the territory of the Algarve, in a celebration of the Mediterranean lifestyle and dialogue between the interior and the coast (Stand design and production, products, activities program of animation activities, workshops, workshops, thematic practical workshops).

+ Algarve International – International Promotion

Participation and exhibition in two fairs (France and Germany) of tourism/endogenous products, promoting an “Other Algarve”, genuine, original and little known (lease of space, products, entertainment).

 

Workshops of Work

Six technical training workshops (35 hours each) for the creation of new tourist products in Barlavento + Centro + Sotavento (organization, implementation, evaluation)

 

Fam Trip and Press Trip

Organization of two Fam Trips for national and European operators, opinion-makers and relevant stakeholders.

Organization of two Press Trips for specialist journalists and travel bloggers.

 

Marketing and Promotion

Georeferenced Web platform for promoting resources, routes, events, news, among others.
