A workshop “The History that I Want to Tell”, by Elsa Serra, takes place this Saturday, June 19, from 13:00 pm to 19:00 pm, at the Municipal Library of Olhão José Mariano Gago.

This initiative is aimed at teachers, educators, library technicians, students in professional courses, animators, parents, reading mediators and those interested in storytelling.

Anyone wishing to participate must register by e-mail [email protected], as vacancies are limited to the capacity of the room, in accordance with the guidelines of the General Directorate of Health.

How to tell a story? Why tell a story? Telling a story is revealing secrets, seducing the listener, inviting him to fall in love with the book, with the story, with reading. In a relaxed way, participants are invited to analyze their doubts and fears when telling a story. The various routes and methods and the various options to capture the attention of those who listen are discussed, and participants will be able to situate the readings and their different audiences, children, youth and adults.

The objective of the action will be to address various storytelling techniques, develop interpretation skills, link silent reading and reading aloud, and develop diction.

Elsa Serra is a storyteller. She is co-founder of Associação Histórias Desenhadas and project Clic, where she has been developing, as an animator, storyteller and trainer of how to tell stories, creative writing and dramatic expression workshops since 1999.
