Easyjet, airline lowcost British, inaugurates next Tuesday, June 15th, a new base at the Airport of Faro, which will have three Airbus A319 aircraft, which will fly to 18 international destinations.

At a time when Portugal, with the Algarve included, was removed from the list of safe destinations created by the British Government, which brought added difficulties to the tourist flow, the inauguration of this hub will be attended by two ministers, the minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition (Pedro Siza Vieira) and that of Infrastructure and Housing (Pedro Nuno Santos), as well as two CEOs, Easyjet (Johan Lundgren) and from VINCI Airports (Nicolas Notebaert).

Last March, in interview with TSF, the executive director of EasyJet Portugal announced that the base of Faro would open with three planes and 100 permanent employees.

However, no one was expected to be recruited in the Algarve, as he should come to Faro personnel who were transferred from other bases, namely Lisbon and Porto, but also from other places, such as Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
