Five women arrested for robbing clothing stores at Algarve Shopping

In total, 42 sweaters, six pairs of pants, six pairs of shorts, six pairs of shoes and three aluminum-lined bags were seized, which inhibit the alarm signal

Five women, aged between 18 and 35, were arrested in the act, this Friday, 4 June, for theft of clothes in stores in the Algarve Shopping mall, in Guia (Albufeira).

According to the GNR, the military went to the location, "after a complaint reporting several thefts." Once in the shopping centre, the guards found that “the suspicions had fled”.

Even so, it was possible to locate the vehicle where they were following, “having been intercepted in possession of the stolen goods in five stores in that commercial space, with an estimated value of 1.214 euros”.

In total, 42 sweaters, six pairs of pants, six pairs of shorts, six pairs of shoes and three aluminum-lined bags were seized, which inhibit the alarm signal.

The detainees were constituted as defendants and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Albufeira.
