4th FARTOON - Show of Cartoons by Faro already opened

This year's edition has the theme "Coronavirus and its effects on the relationship with the environment and society"

The 4th edition of FARTOON - Show of Cartoons by Faro it opened on the 1st of June and can be seen until the 30th, in the temporary exhibition hall, of the Delegation of S. Pedro, of the União de Freguesias de Faro (Sé-S.Pedro). The show is promoted by Faro 1540 – Association for the Defense and Promotion of the Environmental and Cultural Heritage of Faro.

This year's edition has as its theme “Coronavirus and its effects on the relationship with the environment and society”.

 

«We live exceptional moments! All of a sudden, we were forced to readjust our way of life and live with the daily anxiety triggered by a sea of ​​uncertainty caused by the pandemic. The impact of the coronavirus is yet to be defined and it is believed that it will take a few decades to interpret the real meaning of this global pandemic in our lives», explains the organization.

A Faro 1540 intended participants to explore the unprecedented social, economic, political, cultural and environmental repercussions and impacts and society that must emerge after this crisis.

This year, the organization registered a huge influx of entries, the highest ever, reaching 271 works from 26 countries. 65 finalist works were selected, which can now be seen in the FARTOON exhibition.
