The Hotel and Tourism School of Vila Real de Santo António will host, on the 31st of May, the 1st and 2nd of June, the InterSchools of Tourism of Portugal competition. This year, the initiative will have a reduced number of participants, due to the pandemic.
This competition, which is now in its 15th edition, has been held annually since 2006 and is aimed at students from the Portuguese Tourism Schools network.
This year, there will be 12 specialties in the competition: Bar, Barista, Apprentice Cook, Decathlon, Tourism, Hotel Accommodation, Hotel Management, Junior Confectioner, Joaquim Janeiro Cup, Sommelier (Gilberto Mira), Entrepreneurship and Vegetarian Cook.
The winners of each specialty will be the representatives of Portugal at the European Meetings of the European Association of Hotel and Tourism Schools – AEHT, which will take place in Tallinn (Estonia), between 1 and 6 November.
