With distrust being the watchword in the Algarve, hotel units have the green light to proceed with their reopenings. Many have reopened since the 19th of April, but others have taken the opportunity to remodel, clean, organize and reopen later, so that everything can be ready and able to provide the excellent service that their customers have become accustomed to.
O São Rafael Villas, Apartments & Guesthouse, located on São Rafael beach, in Albufeira, decided to pamper all mothers and dedicate the month of May to all families so that they can enjoy a safe stay away from the confusion and full of tranquility.
The campaign for the month of May is priced at 79 euros and includes two nights' accommodation, a full body massage (60 minutes) and a full breakfast, delivered to the door of the accommodation that decides to stay.
If you want to go out and discover some of the Algarve's charms, you can choose to take pedestrian walks along the cliffs, «appreciating the beauty of the landscape outlined by the sea or among the trees and large bushes suspended over the top of the cliffs». Or, upon reservation, you can also take a boat trip and visit the beautiful caves.
O Porto Bay Cliff, located on Falesia beach, reopened on April 30th.
To face the current pandemic, they created the “Together We Care” protocol, “which represents an adaptation to international, national and regional health directives, but which does not forget our mission: to provide a memorable experience for our guests”. Measures such as express check in e Check-out, temperature control, kits Covid-19, are some of the new measures implemented by the hotel group.
Direct access to Praia da Falésia, 310 rooms, swimming pools, green areas, SPA, jacuzzi, gastronomy and, not forgetting, the breathtaking views over the reddish cliffs, are some of the characteristics of this hotel space.
The AP Resorts group already has some of its hotels in operation, since the 19th of April, however, the Adriana Beach Resort, in Albufeira, only reopened its doors on the 5th of May.
This all included it has 17 hectares and consists of 438 rooms. known for being the all included most complete in the Algarve, located just 200 meters from the beach, here you can enjoy a safe holiday between nature and the sea.
Adriana Beach has entertainment, not only during the day, but also at night. From swimming pools, gym, spa, soccer field, archery, beach volleyball, live music, kids club a a disco (closed for now, reopens when possible), and also free transport to Vilamoura and Albufeira.
Also in the AP Resorts group but in Tavira, the AP Maria Nova Lounge, reopens on May 14th and brings news.
O Rooftop Nomad Restaurant & Bar was remodeled and becomes «a perfect space to relax at the end of the day” and admire the view over the city of Tavira.
Located 5 minutes walk from the historic center, it is suitable for adults.
“With an industrial style and a contemporary atmosphere, it is the ideal place to relax, socialize and enjoy the outdoor terrace on hot summer evenings while enjoying a refreshing drink or a cocktail. The Vila Galé group has been progressively reopening its hotels. In the Algarve, the Vila Gale Ampalius, in Vilamoura, and the Vila Gale Lagos (the one in the photo published above), however, only open from Wednesday to Sunday.
Restaurants, gyms, SPAs and other facilities in these complexes are also operating, following the limitations of hours and capacity, as well as the hygiene standards imposed by the government.
To provide greater security to its guests, the group launched the online platform My Vila Gale, which allows to do check in e check out, consult restaurant/bar charters and make reservations, in order to have as little contact as possible between customers and staff.
On June 2, the other hotels of the group will reopen, including the Vila Gale Atlântico: Vila Gale Collection Praia and the Vila Gale Cerro Alagoa, located in Albufeira. Also reopens the Vila Gale Nautico, in Armação de Pêra, the Vila Gale Marina, in Vilamoura, the Vila Gale Tavira and the Vila Gale Albacora, too, in Tavira.
For reservations made until May 31st, the Spring campaign is in effect, offering discounts of up to 20%.
At Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, the Algarve Casino Hotel reopened on Saturday, May 8th.
The hotel's casino will be open from 12:00 to 23:00 and will offer the executive lunch, as well as the Vilamoura Casino.

To resume activity in a big way, the hotels in the Sonae Capital «they challenge customers to be safe and take advantage of the holidays for a mini-holiday with associated advantages: a 20% discount on the Continente Card is guaranteed on reservations made until 30 September». The campaign will start on May 28th.
Through the Sonae group platform, it is possible to automatically convert 20% of the reservation in balance to the Continente Card.
O Aqualuz Lagos is the only hotel of the group located in the Algarve. «Very close to the Marina de Lagos, Aqualuz Lagos offers an extensive program of nautical activities to fully enjoy the Algarve: from diving to kayaks, going through windsurfing, pedal boats, towing bananas or guided boat tours, let yourself be involved by the sea and have fun».
The offer includes free stay for children up to 15 years old and free welcome drink.
