The Centro Cultural de Lagos will host the Chilean show “Ecosofía” on June 2, at 19:30 pm, as part of the Ventania festival, as a world premiere.
Due to the pandemic, the group was not to be present at the festival, but the organization, through the Chilean Ministry of Culture, managed to guarantee the presence of the show in Lagos and add it to the rest of the already announced program.
With the artistic direction of the Chilean Camila Rojas Cannobbio, the show is inspired by the philosophical aspect “Ecosofía”, which gives it its name.
This work is built from a visual narrative, merging acrobatics, dances, projections and sounds, as it involves the audience «in a sensitive and immersive staging, which rejects anthropocentrism and invites the contemplation of the eco-cosmos and the universe and how a living whole», says the Teatro Experimental de Lagos (TEL).
The 3rd edition of the festival will pass through Lagos (2, 3 and 4 June), Lagoa (11 and 12 June) and Portimão (11 September), addressing sustainability issues with their shows, bringing them to the artistic plan.
The festival "is once again a unique festival in the country, as always based on the key ideals of development and promotion of artistic activism", concludes the organization.
This festival is promoted by Teatro Experimental de Lagos (TEL), co-financed by the General Directorate of Arts, Municipality of Lagos, Municipality of Lagoa, Municipality of Portimão and S. Gonçalo de Lagos Parish Council, in a local partnership with the arts ecosystem performatives from the western Algarve.
