Citizens for CEAT talk about “Energy and Environmental Democracy: Climate Justice”

“Energy and Environmental Democracy: Climate Justice” is the theme of another session of the Citizenship Forum, an online event scheduled for this Sunday, May 30, at 18:00, and which can be seen on the facebook page of the Citizens movement by CEAT and Urban Gardens of Tavira.

The session focuses on the following sub-themes: geological resources: environment and people; renewable energies and democracy; energy efficiency; Technological innovation and energy transition; carbon agriculture; Forest, water and biodiversity; greenwashing and zero carbon.

Participating in the initiative will be Elisabete Cruz (graduated in Management, natural citizen of Montalegre), Manuel Vieira (doctoral student in Biology, co-founder of the PALP-Platform Algarve Livre de Petróleo, Amanda McGregor (environmentalist, PROBAAL), Jorge Gonçalves (president of Cooperativa Minga and Consultant at WindEmpower), Guilherme Luz (researcher, doctoral candidate at FCUL, cooperator in Renewable Energies), António Pina (researcher, Coopernico Algarve) and Nídia Braz (Biologist, university professor and at PAS-Plataforma Água Sustentável).

These are also joined by Nuno Belchior, farmer and specialist in low-carbon circular agriculture, Simon Pannett, researcher, Coopernico Algarve and Inês Campos, coordinator of the PROSEU project and researcher at the FCUL-Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.

The moderation will be in charge of members of the citizens' movement, namely Rosa Guedes.
