Third sector presented to the CCDR proposals for the next financial framework

UMP was represented by President Manuel Lemos and Patrícia Seromenho, who is also provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira

The Algarve's Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) met, last Thursday, April 15th, with the direction of the União das Misericórdias Portuguesas and with Margarida Flores, director of the District Center for Social Security. The third sector presented investment proposals for the next multi-year financial framework.

UMP was represented by President Manuel Lemos and Patrícia Seromenho, who is also the provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira.

"In order to better respond to the new demands of active ageing, home automation and energy efficiency, the third sector presented proposals for the requalification of equipment and expansion of social responses, job creation and training of its professionals", says the CCDR.

For the rest, the CCDR «one of its attributions is the fulfillment of management responsibilities within the scope of the European Union's cohesion policy in Portugal, as well as the dynamization and promotion of public policies for sustainability, for the economic and social competitiveness of the region. ».
