Four young people injured after roof collapse in Barão de São Miguel

Four young people, aged between 14 and 18, were injured, two of them seriously, this afternoon, when they fell from a roof that collapsed, in Rua da Igreja, in Barão de São Miguel, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo .

Source of the Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command told the Sul Informação that the alert was given at 15:44 pm and that the young people "were playing on the roof of an annex, which ended up collapsing".

An 18-year-old German boy and a 15-year-old Polish girl, who suffered serious injuries, were evacuated by INEM helicopter to the Hospital de Faro.

Two German boys, aged 14 and 15, were transported to Hospital de Portimão with minor injuries.

22 workers were involved in the relief operations, supported by 10 vehicles, from the Vila do Bispo and Lagos Fire Brigade, GNR and INEM.
