The University Hospital Center of the Algarve (CHUA) is marking the National Day of Patients with Stroke, which was celebrated yesterday, March 31, with exhibitions to raise awareness of the subject, which can be seen in the units of Faro and Portimão of the institution.

Until Monday, April 5th, in the entrance hall of the Hospital de Portimão, next to the waiting room for the External Consultation, «an exhibition alluding to the work carried out by the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team (Physiotherapy, Therapy of the Speech, and Occupational Therapy) of the Hospital Unit of Portimão / Lagos», according to CHUA.

Em Faro, «health professionals promote an exhibition that aims to talk about the theme and make known the day-to-day in a Stroke Unit», which can be seen until the 7th of April at the hospital's main entrance.

yesterday, both in Faro as in Portimão, there were special actions, in the first case, a clarification session on stroke through Qlinic, «a digital platform created by medical students from the University of Algarve to answer all health questions free of charge».

Professionals from the Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the South (CMR Sul), through the Nutrition Service, marked the event «with an awareness-raising action aimed at users through the distribution of information leaflets on “Food and Stroke”» .
