Station that will show the biodiversity of Cachopo will be inaugurated

The Cachopo Biodiversity Station (E-Bio), which will show the emblematic fauna and flora of this mountain parish in the municipality of Tavira, will be inaugurated on Wednesday, the 7th.

This new offer is the result of a partnership between the municipality of Tavira and the Parish Council of Cachopo, with the collaboration of Tagis – Center for the Conservation of Butterflies of Portugal, and is located just outside the village, in the direction of São Brás de Alportel , in a place of high biological and landscape richness, representative of the characteristic habitats of the area.

«The E-Bio consists of a short pedestrian path (1 kilometer), with reference to emblematic and common species, among which insects and plants stand out, which are the basis for the conservation of terrestrial ecosystems», according to the Câmara de Tavira.

«After this moment, and since it marks the National Day of the Mills, there will be a visit to the Moinho de Cachopo with the aim of enhancing and also making known the cultural heritage», according to the Câmara de Tavira.

«In order to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and the preservation of ecosystems, according to the motto launched by the Blue Flag of Europe 2021, nature-friendly hikers can now visit the Cachopo Biodiversity Station and register, identify , as well as sharing information about this theme", in this Biodiversity4all specialized site, concluded the municipality.
