“Portimão Cidade Universitária. Benefits for the city and for the region” is the theme of the debate, promoted by Portimão U – Autonomous Section of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve, which will take place this Friday, March 26, from 18 pm, via Zoom and which will be broadcast on the pages of Portimão U's Facebook and on the page for AAUAlg's Nuclei and Autonomous Sections.
The initiative aims to «promote a more active citizenship of young people and our student body, by presenting the discussion of topics such as housing, mobility, pedagogy, culture, economy and infrastructure», highlights Portimão U.
Filipe Baptista, president of JS Portimão, Afonso Lousada, president of the Popular Youth of Portimão, Henrique Coelho, member of the coordination of the Liberal Initiative Faro and Carlos Gouveia Martins, president of PSD Portimão will debate and present their point of view regarding the city of Portimão as a university destination and how it can benefit the city and the region with its growth.
The initiative will be moderated by Rodrigo Carlos, Dux from the University of Algarve.
