Faro2027 wants to help discover the “New Bauhaus”

In the online session “Discover the New Bauhaus”, in addition to the presentation of the Nova Bauhaus, the potential and contribution of the Algarve region in the construction of this great European movement will also be discussed.

The initiative is from the candidacy of Faro the European Capital of Culture 2027 and wants to help discover the “New Bauhaus”. The project will be presented in an online session this Wednesday, March 24, from 10:00 am.

If science and technology crossed with art and culture to build a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful world? If the construction of a new model of society involved building bridges, between thinkers and entrepreneurs, with a view to discovering innovative solutions to complex problems?

These are starting points to discover the “New Bauhaus”, the theme of the first online session to present the project “The New European Bauhaus”, with the participation of Rory Campbell, representative of the European Commission in Portugal.

This is a session promoted by a group of regional partners, namely the Southern Designers Association, the Al Mouatamid Ibn Abbad Association, the European Commission representation in Portugal, the Europe Direct Algarve, the CCDR Algarve and Faro2027 Application of Faro the European Capital of Culture.

Also participating in this online event are prominent figures in the field of arts and architecture, such as Ana Sousa, professor and coordinator of the Research Group on Art Education at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, and the architect José Alberto Alegria, pioneer in Portugal of the renewal of geo-architecture.

In the online session “Discover the New Bauhaus”, in addition to the presentation of the Nova Bauhaus, the potential and contribution of the Algarve region in the construction of this great European movement will also be discussed.

The New European Bauhaus is an interdisciplinary creative movement, open to all, which aims to mobilize designers, architects, engineers, scientists, students and creative minds to, within the scope of the European Ecological Pact, improve the quality of life experience, through the creation of more affordable and accessible spaces, reinventing sustainable ways of life and providing financial support for innovative ideas and projects.

The event can be followed on the pages of Facebook e Youtube da Faro2027.
