The training of seven dozen census takers who will operate in the municipality of Silves, within the scope of the 2021 Census, is already underway and will take place until the end of March.
The action, which takes place in several municipal facilities, is taught by technicians from INE – National Institute of Statistics and has the support of the Municipality of Silves.
The 2021 Census, a "mega operation for the census of population and housing", will start on April 5th with the distribution, in all homes in the country, of the INE letter with the codes necessary to respond to the survey that will be carried out. a Nacional level.
Answers must be given digitally (by computer, tablet or smartphone with internet connection) from April 19th until May 3rd (preferred date).
The purpose of this operation is “to obtain information about the entire resident population, families and housing stock”.
