Praia da Falésia was considered one of the 25 best beaches in the world by TripAdvisor users. Every year, the portal compiles the reviews, ratings and favorites that travelers share around the world and uses this information to highlight the best tourist destinations in the Travelers' Choice section.
"Beautiful red sand cliffs show us the blue-green ocean and a white sand beach that stretches out as far as the eye can see."
says one of the travelers on TripAdvisor, who annually chooses the best beaches and other resources available to tourists.
This year's election of “The best of the best”, in the Beach category, highlights, in 13th position, “one of the most emblematic beaches in Albufeira, Falésia, in the same quality line as other beaches in Cuba, Brazil , Florida, Australia, Hawaii and others», highlights the City Council of Albufeira.
José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, is very pleased with this classification that «is a recognition of what we have and cherish, on the one hand, and, on the other, it is an incentive for all of us, as we hope, and there are indicators in this regard , that we can still have a very satisfactory summer for commerce, restaurants and similar, hotels and for Albufeires in general».
