Loulé invests 500 euros to improve the energy efficiency of Municipal Swimming Pools

The objective is also to "ensure the well-being and safety of users"

Loulé City Council is investing 500 euros in a project that will improve the energy efficiency of Municipal Swimming Pools. 

The project, which is co-financed by CRESC Algarve2020, will requalify the roof of the pool nave and replace all interior lighting with LED.

In addition, photovoltaic panels will be placed.

"The goal is not only to ensure the well-being and safety of users, but also to reduce the costs of energy use, the consumption of fossil fuels and the emission of greenhouse gases, with the production and use of energy renewable resources that give the infrastructure greater energy efficiency», says the Câmara de Loulé.

Moreover, the work is part of «a set of actions for the requalification of sports facilities in the municipality of Loulé that aim to increase the useful life of buildings, enhance sports activity and consolidate the “Commitment to Sport” assumed by the local authority to the over the past few years'.
